Big Lebowski Posters

Big Lebowski screenprints are done. We ended with three variants: Blue, Magenta and Green. The trick to this poster was producing an effective gradient blend of two colors using halftones. We used a 305 mesh count screen to assist in achieving this effect. 32 posters make up each edition, 98 total.

These posters will be available at The Paramount screening of the Big Lebowski in Austin, TX at 7pm. Any left overs will make their way online in my online store and at Under Pressure.

Warhol Munch

There is currently a Warhol Munch exhibition at the Louisiana Museum in Denmark. It exhibits some screenprints Warhol had been commissioned to do of some select Munch works, The Scream (1893), Madonna (1894-95), Self-Portrait (1895), and Eva Mudocci (Madonna/The Brooch) (1903). Below I have Munch’s lithograph of The Brooch followed by Warhol’s screenprint of the same subject.

Summer Dance 2010

Lotus Summer Dance

This is it folks, a new, sunny print coming at you from Austin, TX – Lotus’ Summer Dance 2010 gigposter. 60 print edition. 3 colors- brown, white, black on blue paper. Design by yours truly and printed with the good locals at Under Pressure Screen Printing.

This was a good printing experience overall. Some new techniques learned include make do with what you have. We also used a different type of ink this round from TW Graphics. This ink has a very different consistency than I am accustomed to. It almost runs like water. However, I was pleased with the look, feel and quality of the ink once it was dry. I will definitely be experimenting with this ink in the future.
