My New Toys

I picked up a couple new toys and have been on an illustration spree. I had never used a pocket brush pen before, but it feels as natural to me as they come. I typically use brushes and dip it in a bottle of bombay ink and use water as necessary, but this brush eliminates all of that. It does not seem to need to be cleaned either as it hasn’t dried yet; probably just need to keep the cap on.

The ink and bristles glide on my new moleskin. I also bought this A4 size sketch book (link) off Amazon. The paper is reminiscent of the older books they put out before they switched to that thick paper in their recent sketchbooks. I don’t like that paper. This new paper is thinner and the ink doesn’t bleed through.

Throughout the week I will be posting the illustrations.
